Mediation could be the answer to your divorce problems

On Behalf of | Nov 17, 2016 | Divorce

In the state of Florida, family law courts expect both parties to work together in an attempt to resolve divorce related issues outside of court. This isn’t always possible, but both partners should make a good effort.

Over the years, many people have found that formal mediation is the answer to all their problems. With this, you don’t have to spend any time in court. However, you’re still able to work through your divorce and end up in a better place when everything is said and done.

Above all else, both parties must agree to mediation. From there, a mediator steps in and does their best to help all disputed issues, such as child custody, reach a mutually beneficial resolution.

A mediator does not take sides, but is instead available to push the negotiations forward and ensure that all details are taken care of in the appropriate manner.

Since you still need to make many important decisions, it’s a good idea to go into the mediation process prepared. For most, this means working with a family law attorney who knows the ins and outs of this process.

At our law firm, we have helped many people make their way through mediation with success. We know that this is a difficult time in your life, but there are things you can do to put your divorce in the past.

Mediation is not the right choice for every couple, but it is something to consider. We’ve seen firsthand that this can be beneficial when compared to the traditional court process.
